I am working with Nitinol and my material presents a different model from the one offered in ANSYS, since I have 3 more elastic constants related to the R-phase transformation which is evoked during mechanical testing. I would like to know If there is a way to enter this new 3 inputs in ANSYS toolbox and if not, how can I related this behavior with the one offered by the workbench? Â
I would thank your help.Â

Ansys does not have a standard material option that will simulate the rhombohedral distortion (R-Phase) of SMA martensitic structures. If this effect is critically important and you cannot calibrate the standard SMA properties to sufficiently match your test results, you would need to program your own material model via USERMAT routine. For more details, please refer to the MAPDL Programmer's Reference (ansys.com)Â
