I experimented about heat exchanger effectiveness with water by saving simple inlet and outlet temperatures. Now I need to analyze the same results with a numerical model. But I don't know how to do this. As you know, there are plate corrugations inside plate heat exchangers. They can be in different models. I don't know what type of corrugation is inside this plate. My advisor says that if necessary, I should contact the manufacturer and model all of them. But this seems a bit exaggerated to me. How do you think I should do this?

You REALLY need to know what the geometry is before going anywhere near a computer. PHX are also a difficult geometry to build depending on the plate design.Â
Otherwise, start with the courses in Learning (geometry, mesh and Fluent) along with heat transfer and (possibly) some of the physics/fluids content.Â
