SubscriberHello everyone!
I am a student of Industrial Engineering Master's Degree. I am currently developing my Final Project and it would be very helpful if someone could please help me with one specific doubt.
I need to use ANSYS Composite PrepPost tool to calculate the Failure Index of a Flat Plate. However, I was not able to find this parameter in the program. The most similar factor I have found is Inverse Reserve Factor within the Composite Failure Tool, but it is not what I need.
The definition of the needed index is as follows:
Failure Index = Ply strain/ Limit strain
When the result is greater than 1, failure is predicted in the ply.
Do you know if there is any way to calculate the Failure Index in ANSYS PrepPost, directly or indirectly?
Thank you in advance and Kind Regards
