I am planning to conduct a computational fluid dynamic analysis of wind flow around a structure similar to the picture below, where the structure is comprised of space frame that's supporting a thin corrugated steel roof. My goal is to extract the pressure distribution on the roof and the wind loads that result from the wind flow.Â
My initial idea is to do a simple 2D CFD analysis with only the curved roof geometry modelled as shown below.Â
However due to the very thin roof thickness (0,5 mm), I had a problem when trying to mesh the smaller analysis domain around the roof geometry. How can I make sure that the smaller analysis domain is meshed successfully?

Hello,Â
can you add a small thickness to your roof?

how does this compare to the minimum sizing allowed in your mesh?
