Subscriberheat of Reaction and heat release rate are the same; they are just available for different models in FLUENT, right?
they use the same formula. heat of reaction divided by cell volume is heat release rate, right?
I have several reactions; the total heat release rate is heat of reaction divided by cell volume.
is this including all reactions (gas + solid phase)?

Ansys EmployeeHello, your understanding is correct. Regarding the question, if you are referring to the Discrete Phae Model (DPM), my understanding is that the heat of reaction due to the heterogeneous reaction between the gases and the solid particles is treated as a source term to the energy equation and is NOT included in the "Heat of Reaction" for species transport based models. For the PDF-based combustion model, "Heat Release Rate" should represent the overall heat release by the combustion of the fuel represented by the mixture fraction.
