SubscriberHello!
I am trying to simulate the ground effect for 2D airfoil in Ansys Fluent. The research task is to show that the Cl coefficient increases when the distance between the ground and the airfoil decreases.Â
I have set the ground as moving wall with the same speed as inlet velocity (65), In front of the airfoil, the left boundary condition was set to a velocity inlet. Behind the airfoil the rightÂ
boundary condition was set to be a pressure outlet. The ceiling above the airfoil was setÂ
to be also inlet.ÂMy purpose is to try different angles of attack and different distances between the ground and the airfoil. I have tried many different meshes and found that with the one in the picture below at least I get some reasonable results in the free stream.
Â
Any suggestions what should be done to get Cl values increasing when approaching the ground? Because now I only get decreasing Cl and increasing Cd?Â
Many thanks in advance!
