Geometry not filled when imported into Designmodeler

      Hi all

I used Fusion360 to draw a simple beam and exported it into iges, step, stl file format and imported into ANSYS for static structural analysis. However, when I opened the geometry in Designmodeler, it isn't filled. Any ideas?

      Hi Melissa,

When I open DesignModeler 19.2 and use File, Import External Geometry File and point to the attached iges file, I get a solid.

What version of ANSYS are you using?

      Hi Peter

I'm using the 18.2 version. I could get the solid as well in Designmodeler after I add material instead of add frozen. But I'm not too sure why when I open the object in Model, it appears to be unfilled.

I also tried to draw the beam in 2D and extrude in Designmodeler but it still gives me the same outcome

      Hello,

Can you please deselect View --> Frozen Body Transparency.

      Hope it helps.
