Geometry differences in CFD post

      Hi ,

I want to simulate acoustophoresis phenomena.

My system is composed by a fluid domain surrounded by a mechanical structure and a piezoelectric transducer. The fluid domain has an inlet where the fluid (water) and particles are inserted.

Might could be a problem in the geometry definition?n

Hello, nIn CFD Post, do you see all the respective domains properly? Do you see separate Piezo and Silicon domains/zones?nIf one of them is missing, then please double check the geometry definition.nRegards,nSuryan

Hello Array, nthanks for your answer. In CFD post I don't see the separation of piezo and silicon domains. Moreover I checked the geometry definition, and it seems ok. I created different parallelepipeds, each one for each materials, and I use the add frozen option in design modeler. So I don't know why I don't see the separation in CFD post.n

Can you list the zones in Fluent? Can you check the tree of domains in Post? How many zones are u seeing?n

In Post I see the the fluid zone (part fluid) with different boundaries (bottomwall,...) and it's ok, then I see the solid part (default domain) but the solid part comprehend glass, silicon and piezo layer but there is no option to select one of them individually.nn

Okay all solids are encompassed within single domain. That might be a limitation of Post processing. You might separate by using clipping or iso volume. nis this a known issue with processing structures in Post?n

I don't use Post much so don't know what to expect here.nIt is worthwhile renaming your Case to get rid of so many Copy of words.n

Thanks Array, but what does it means separate by using clipping or iso volume?n
