generate log file from ansys workbench model

  Hi everyone,
  
  I would like to know, how I can generate the log file from ansys workbench after construct the model in it to execute the model in ansys apdl. this will help me in my work very well because I make an interface between matlab and ansys and optimize function with a lot of design variables. If there is another way to invoke ansys workbench from matlab and execute my program, it will be very helpful to me.

  A journal file is created while workbench is being used. I don't know anything more about it.
  
  Someone created an interface between matlab and ANSYS where matlab can send ANSYS inputs and receive output data.
