Generate locally fine mesh

      Hello,

I would like to calculate pipe flow with a branch. Since entrance length is very long comparing the branch, i wann use coarse mesh on the entrance length, fine mesh on the branch like the figure.

I made 1 part and 2 bodies. But the mesh is not shared at the bondary between the branch body and the entrance length body. Would you tell me how to do that? Thank you.

You will need to use Share Topology in DM or SpaceClaim and then go to meshing. It will give you conformal mesh.

You can also check Body of Influence for giving local sizing.

      Hi Keyur

Thank you for telling me. Shared topology works well.

I have one question. I used Design Modeler's ShareTopo at first, however the mesh did not shared in two bodies. After I moved the geometry to SpaceClaim and applied Shared Topology, then the mesh was shared.

I think Design Modeler's ShareTopo works since the edge color is pink indicating shared like the picture. Can you identify the reason?
