Funtion Load

      Hi , everyone.

how can i apply a function load perpendicular to a cylindrical surface? The model has 6 different surfaces with different axes. I need to apply a functional load to these surfaces to deform them as in the figure-2. How can I do that?

      Best regards

      Oguzhan

How to define Function Load ?

What does the +/- 1 on the X axis represent?

+1 - 1 dent width and other - 1 dent depth. the length of the dent is 625 mm in length.

So you have six 2 mm wide, 1 mm deep, 625 mm long dents in the cylindrical pipe. Is the 1 mm depth of dent inward to the center or outward?
What is the wall thickness of the pipe?
Is the pipe a surface model or a solid model?
I can guess there is another pipe without dents that slides into or over the pipe with dents, creating an interference fit. Is that correct? Rather than apply a load to the dents, create the other pipe and create frictional contact between the dents and the other pipe.

I don't quite know what you mean. shell thickness 1 mm and inwards the center. There are different numbers of dents. It'll be very easy for me if I can apply the equation.

I don't quite know how you want to apply the function.
There is a cylindrical surface that has dents. Where are the dents?
You say the cylindrical surface has six different faces with different axes. How are the axes different? The faces look like they are all concentric.
You can apply a load as a function of a coordinate dimension. Create a coordinate frame so that zero is at the center of the function. Probably best to split the face so that the face is only 2 mm wide.
What is the physical mechanism that creates the load?

      When I create 2 and 4 dents, the axes work quite normally. For example 2 dent with the function applied to the selected area ;
also the result of the region where only displacement is applied:
in both, the load was applied by choosing the surface normal. but when there are 4 and 6 numbers, very different results are seen due to the function variable. The dent areas are divided on the model and are applied to surfaces with a width of 2 mm and a length of 650 mm.
