Frictional heat generated in ANSYS Explicit Dynamics drilling

      Hi,

Can someplease please suggest that how the frictional heat generated while performing drilling simulation can be modeled?

I could not use APDL command option in Explicit Dynamics (I was putting TEMP DoF through commands and then frictional heat generation via rmodif...command. However all this not working in Ansys Explicit)

Frictional heat generation models can be solved either using MAPDL solver in the Mechanical systems such as Static Structural systems or using LS-DYNA solver in Workbench LS-DYNA systems. For the latter, the default contact keywords need to be modified to include the frictional heat generation through keyword snippet.

Frictional heat generation is not available in Explicit Dynamic systems.
