Friction contact and Hysteresis loop Analysis challenges

I am running an analysis on friction contact between two steel plates of the same material an harmonic force was added as shown in the screen shots. the aim of my analysis is to generate an hysteresis loop that explains the energy loss due to friction between the contacting plates(top and bottom plate. I am investigating a coincident node between the top and bottom plates. However i am not getting the expected hyteresis loop after running a transient analysis with the details shown below. can you kindly help with this. screenshots attached are

the pretension and harmonic load force applied are also shown.

The analysis settings is as follows

ji I have not been able to figure out why i cannot get the expected hysteresis loop so as to be able to analyse the energy loss. I would appreciate any form of help or insights on this.
      Thanks
