Hi, im searching for an article, seems to be in archive, which describes the ability to simulate fracture in Ansys Mechanical.
There was a APDL Script, with EKill for elements which reach the tensile strength.
Is there a possibility to get this APDL script or get a tutorial how to use this APDL script?
Thank you
M

Hi,
While this might not be exactly what you want, but there are examples available in the Ansys Help page for simulating the fracture using SMART, VCCT or XFEM method.
Go to Ansys Help page > Mechanical APDL > Fracture Analysis Guide > 3.3.5 Example: Fatigue Crack-Growth Analysis using SMART
3.3. SMART Method for Crack-Growth Simulation
Other examples can utilizing VCCT and XFEM also be found.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Harshvardhan
