Fluid Outlet temperature as Inlet temperature

      Hello, I am working on a project where I have water circulation. I have a closed system where water enters from 1 Inlet and leaves from 1 Outlet, but the water that leaves is reused and enters from the same Inlet agian. In the system I have a heat source. Water flows through the system and is getting warmer. I would like to set the water Inlet temperature as the water Outlet temperature.

      I would like to make a system where the water flows through the system and is getting warmer. The temperature of the water when it leaves the system thorugh the Outlet should be the new temperature of the water at the Inlet.

      The longer I let the simulation run the higher the temperature inside the system becomes and the higher the temperature on the Inlet becomes.

      I have seen a video of how to do a Time Varying Condition, but I don't have the same options as shown on the video. I am using the student version of Ansys Discovery.

      Hello Zan Gorensek

      You can set the water inlet and outlet temperature in the flow condition itself. Please refer the attached video for the same. 

      You can run Time dependent calculations in Explore mode. These calculations are available in the Simulation options in Physics tab.

      Hello, thank you for a response. I know how to set the temperature of Inlet and Outlet. But I would like to run a time-dependent simulation where the temperature at the Outlet is changing with time. And I want to set the changing temperature on the Outlat as the Inlet temperature. The option that's shown on the video only allows a constant temperature or no temperature at all.

        Time dependent Boundary condition Setup is not available in Discovery at the moment. I will file an enhancement request for this functionality to be added. Thank you!
