Fluent DDPM simulation particles don’t track

  We have a Fluent DDPM Eulerian model simulation. The image below shows a cylinder and a cylinder with a tip. For both simulations the parameters were the same including the mesh, physics,... But for the results, we would get a message that 100% of the particles are not tracking for the cylinder with a tip. Why would the addition of a tip affect the particle tracking so much?

  Shouldn't make a difference. Can you plot the velocity contour up the centre plane on the second model? I wonder if you've got a wall in the domain that shouldn't be there (assuming the particles you drew on are correct).

  I guess you have used the same injection file for both cases and that is causing the problem
