I defined a parameter using “Custom Field Functions”, and then a range of this parameter using ”Cell Registers”. The target is to calculate the liquid volume of this parameter with the specified range.

I first tried “Volume Integrals” of the “Cell Registers”, Fluent got frozen.

I then tried “Named Expressions” using first Flag = IF(cell_register_0,1,0), then VolumeInt(Flag,['domain']), Fluent still went frozen when compute.  

I know “Mesh Separation” will work, but I need to calculate multiple ranges for a plot (x axis: parameter, y axis: volume percentage). So it is not an option for me.

Any solution to this problem? Thanks.

Otherwise you can patch a User Defined Scalar (UDS) to be 1 in the register and then report the sum of cell volume x UDM.

I can't, if it's not visible it's registered user's only so I can't share - I can't tell from this side as I have staff access.
