SubscriberI was doing an FSI simulation and I got an error in the system coupling, as shown below:
Now this is strange enough, because I had just finished a coupled run, cleared generated data, and added a single "Event" under "Dynamic Mesh" in Fluent that takes place at 0.5 seconds (the 25th substep). That is the only thing that I changed. So I opened Fluent to see what the problem was, and I thought I would initialize in Fluent and do a single time step to see if I could track down the source of the error. To my surprise, there is NO CALCULATE BUTTON showing up?! See the figure below:
What is going on?? I can find no instance of this happening through goolge searches, and I tried already to save the project and close Workbench. When I re-open Workbench then Fluent, the same issue appears. I ran "Check Case" and got no results that indicate any problem.
Help! Where is the Calculate button and what on earth does that error message mean?? -

SubscriberUpdate: I solved this problem, but I will leave this here for reference to anyone else encountering the same issue in the future.
If Fluent is part of a "System Coupling" then the Calculate button is missing. You cannot simply initialize and run a few time steps to check convergence without detaching the connections to the System Coupling block.
Thanks

SubscriberI got the same problem. It was missing so strangely. Thanks to you I would detach the connection and do it now. Thanks again for posting the result even though you found it yourself.

SubscriberIf you disconnect fluent from system coupling it will work.
Thanks
