SubscriberI tried to install License, when the other 2 Files shows that it's running whereas the flexnet licensing shows some error.

Ansys EmployeeMake sure you kill those processes listed in the error message.
Then, click on Licensing Interconnect Log and look at the bottom of the log, it should show the reason why FlexNet wasn't running correctly.
There might also be some info in the FlexNet Debug Log as well (the same as above, look at the bottom of the file and see if there is any relevant info about the issue).
Thanks,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi Ujjhwal,
Are you trying to use a student product or an academic license?
The error specified in the log looks like you are using an academic license and perhaps have tried to manually combine licenses or potentially tried to manually edit the license.
If neither of those situations are true, please try opening your .lic file in notepad (NOT wordpad), go to File -> Save As and make sure the encoding is set to ANSI, and save the license file to your desktop. Then move it to overwrite the one in the c:program filesansys incshared fileslicense_files.

Thank you,
Jake

SubscriberI am trying to use an academic license.
And yes, you are right. Since the license was initially provided on a older system which we no longer use, I tried to modify the Host id and the IP of the current system that it is being installed on.Â
So, I think that should be the issue.
Â
Can you guide me to get the license on the new system please.

Ansys EmployeeHi Ujjhwal,
License file uses an encryption that takes into the account the hostID info. That's why it's specific to a machine and you would need a new license file when you change the license server machine.
Please reach out to your ANSYS sales representative and they would be able to help you transferring the licenses to the new machine.
Thanks,
Win

SubscriberHi,
I'm facing a similar issue, FlexNet is not running while the other two are running. I tried to kill the process (as it says in the error message) since it doesn't show up in the task manager.
The TCP port number in the license, 1055, is already in use. 7:05:01 (lmgrd) Possible causes: 7:05:01 (lmgrd) 1) The license server manager (lmgrd) is already running for this license. 7:05:01 (lmgrd) 2) The OS has not "cleared" this port since lmgrd died. 7:05:01 (lmgrd) 3) Another process is using this port number (unlikely).

Ansys EmployeePlease create a new thread for your own issue.
Also, try to see if there is any other line in the log file before this line that may cause an issue. Or if you are not sure, post the content from top to this line.
