SubscriberHello everyone.
I need help please.
I am doing a calculation in LS-Dyna Workbench.
I use a force to compress an object with another object. When the force ends, I need to fix the pressing object in the position where the force ended. How to do this? For example, in static analysis, I would use the APDL parameter, this is the "D" parameter with the choice of the fixation axis. Is there something similar in LS-Dyna?
Thank you. -

you can try using a boundary SPC and set birth and death time in the keycard.  I am not sure this can be done inside workbench by clicking buttons, you will need to write your own boundary_SPC key card and create sets there (named selection converts to sets). Â
In addition, I offer this suggestion sincerely: do not try to learn LS-Dyna by doing it inside workbench.  Instead, learn LS-Dyna by understanding the input file, every single one of the keycards
I know this sounds insane perhaps, but it is truly what I believe we should do.  I wish I learned ANsys Mechanical by studying every lines of APDL code but Ansys mechanical was very mature already even 10 years ago so I didn’t feel like I needed to.  This hurts me now even when I feel like I am profiicent, I am not as proficient as I could have been if I learned things the better way.
Hope this helps.Â
