SubscriberHi, I have been working on Lead Screw Bolt side and while importing the file in STEP format from SolidWorks. it shows me a info of about having NURBS in my geometry which is logical as i have been using Helix command for making threads on bolt. But issue is, it is taking really hard time to make simple mesh like hours and hours. I already had issues while importing the Geometry in IGES format which convert my solid part into surface. Suggest me How to Deal with NURBS to make good mesh in short time
The ANSYS Project File is attached

SubscriberYou did not get a good translation from SolidWorks.
Try exporting a Parasolid and import that into DesignModeler.

SubscriberPlease rename the Parasolid file and use a .txt file extension so you can attach it to your reply. SolidWorks may not have created clean geometry.
Did you try the Repair tool in DM?

This is the File of lead Screw. and as you asked to tell you about using the repair tool. yes, I tried them to remove champers and small edges and merged faces but all in Vain. Luckily, after hours and hours the simple STEP AP214 format gave me a Meshed part without doing any fancy edge removals and face merges. I just want to know why this happened and for the next time, what should we do if anyone stuck at that point.
