SubscriberHelloÂ
In some versions of 2023R2 when you double click on a scdoc file, SpaceClaim opens but opens a document without the file, how do you fix this problem?
Regards

Forum ModeratorHi Roberto,Â
Does this occur with all files or is file specific problem? Can you check and let me know if file loads when you Right Click, select "Open with" and select SpaceClaim 2023R2?
Thanks and Regards

SubscriberHello Atharv

SubscriberThis problem occurs for all scdoc files, sometimes it happens that when installing a new version of the software there is this problem as SpaceClaim does not delete the old registry files.
I don't remember which recording file needs to be modified to resolve the problem -

Forum ModeratorHi Roberto,Â
Can you changing the values in registry editor?
When double clicking a scdoc file to open SpaceClaim it may not be checking the right license. You can add UseLicenseMode into the "Registry editor" to make it work when double clicking a scdoc:-
1) Type in Registroy Editor in Start
2) Locate the following path Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Ansys 2023 R2 .scdoc File\Shell\open\command
3) The value should be something like this "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v232\scdm\SpaceClaim.exe" "%1" "UseLicenseMode=true"Make sure you back up the registry before making changes. Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks and Regards
