      Hi community,

      I am currently doing a fea of brake drum. I've seen the 3 part video series of coupled field transient analysis of disc brake by Ansys. In older versions of Ansys like Ansys 18, I think there is no coupled field transient analysis system. In that case how to perform a fea of brake drum. Can we perform a transient thermal analysis for frictional heating of brake drum and then couple this analysis system with transient structural system for pressure loads applied by brake shoe to brake drum over a short time span?

      Try using SOLID226 element and you can also refer to following link to check real constants to be set for frictional heating:
