SubscriberHi all,
I'm using MPC184 constraints (they are modeled as elements) as both rigid links and rigid beams (KEYOPT(1) = 0,1, respectively). When I run my model, ANSYS aborts and I see the following message in the file.err:
 *** FATAL ***              CP =   28.158  TIME= 10:13:29
The internal constraint equation 554 created by MPC184 elements has Â
been deleted due to redundancy. This is most likely caused by two or Â
more constraint equations that share too many degrees of freedom.  Â
 ************************************************************************
The above error is non-recoverable by ANSYS              Â
ANSYS run terminated by the indicated error              Â
Current data base saved if possible.               Â
 ************************************************************************
I'm able to run a very similar model with only the rigid links, so I know that the error is coming from the addition of the rigid beams. However, when I issue CELIST, the list does not include equation 554; I don't think that the MPC184 "elements" are included when CELIST is issued. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might be able to debug this?

SubscriberIt may be worth mentioning that I am using the rigid beams as a frame that then connects to brick elements with rigid links. All DoF constraints are placed on the frame of rigid beams, while forces are applied on the bricks. Perhaps the redundancy mentioned in the error message comes from multiple MPC184s referencing the same node.

SubscriberHii nI am also getting the same error. do you have found any solution? I am using MPC approach in always bonded contact definition and that is why Internal Constraint equations are generated. n
