[Dimitris Plaskasovitis]

I downloaded Ansys Student 2023 R2, done all the nessesary work (extract file, setup, make the installation, and when it finished and i ran workbench as administrator this happened. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Hi Dimitris,

Can you check if there are any errors logged in the event viewer. Start>event viewer> expand windows log and click on Application.

Check the PATH System Variable to make sure that C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;… entries are in front of everything else.
Like:  PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;…all other entries...
 
Manually register the DLLs listed below by starting a Command Prompt (DOS) "as administrator" and changing to the directory c:\windows\system32, then typing:
 
regsvr32.exe ole32.dll
regsvr32.exe atl.dll
regsvr32.exe oleaut32.dll
regsvr32.exe scrrun.dll
regsvr32.exe jscript.dll
regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll
 

1. Update Windows
2. Click Start button, and look for Control Panel.
3. Click System and Security, and select Windows Update.
4. Click Check for updates and click Install updates.

Rename the Ansys folder to Ansys.old (type %appdata% in start menu), relaunch the application.

After completing the steps, the error persists. Any further ideas to solve this problem?
