Explicit dynamics temperature profile

How to get temperature profile in explicit dynamic simulation. The problem is very simple, a cube having some velocity is sliding on fixed surface whose coefficient of friction is around 0.4. Due to the friction cubical object stop after certain distance, by dissipiating all its kinetic energy in frictional heating. Now I would like to know the temperature rise of cube and fixed surface.

      Hi ,

Within Explcit dynamics the temperature profiles are reported by expression "TEMPARATUREALL" and the source is due to plastic work converted to heat and may not be with frictional heating.

You can monitor plastic work and contact force via trackers to investigate further.

Please use transient structural application to study the heat formation due to contact interaction.

      Cheers, Ram
