Exel Add-in inactive

      Hi Support Team

After trying out the trial version of SpaceClaim I purchased the software a few days ago. I uninstalled the trial version and installed the version provided from this web page.

Now I have an issue with the excel add-in. As you can see at the screenshots attached the excel-add-in is shown as inactive. In the ribbon tab menue there is no excel mark to check.

This is strange, because with the trial version this function was available.

Yesterday I uninstalled SpaceClaim and reinstalled it, but there is no difference.

The same thing appears on my second PC. I downloaded the latest version from this Ansys site (Discovery Downloads - Knowledge Base - Ansys Discovery Forum), but the Excel-add-in is marked as inactive also.

The installed version on both mashines is: (2021.2.0.06011) (Lizenz-ID: ANSYS-Subscription).

OS is Windows 10 pro and for the second PC Windows 11 pro.

At the moment I do not have any idea what’s going wrong – do you have any idea how to fix this issue?

      Best regards

      Alex

      Hello Alexander Faller

SpaceClaim must be restarted before the updated settings will be applied. Please try restarting SpaceClaim after you update the excel add-in and you should be able to see the excel in the ribbons tab.

Let me know if the issue still persists after doing this.

        Hello Devendra Badgujar

unfortunately this makes no change. I also tried out to reset all user settings and also to change from German language version to english - so the issue still persists.

      Hello Alexander Faller

Can you please specify which version of Excel you are using?

Can you please try using the newer versions of Excel ?

Also, make sure antivirus has been turned off.
