The program terminated due to an error: Geometry kernel exception:
ONRL-Server(process 0): Error: there was an unknown parallel error. The error code is 9011, the process number is 0

This is a charge simulation, so please check if you have set the contacts properly. If you have added the contacts, please make sure the mesh order is correct if there is other material overlapped with the contacts.

Please also check that the material fills the simulation volume, as CHARGE does not like anywhere without a material property.

      Still getting the same error.

Could you let me know what did you modify and then got the same error?

It can be from some settings: /forum/forums/topic/error-on-lumerical-device/#latest

or it can be from your computer system. PLease restart the computer, run a similar online example, or simplify the simulation file.

Please make sure all metal materials are set to be contacts with certain voltage, even it is zero. and make sure any space or geometry has a proper material. Different from FDTD and MODE, CHARGE has no default background material and it cannot solve the equestions if the local mesh has no material.

Sir I have doubt that if structures(say waveguides ) arising from a same point, and they are getting overlaps shown in image below. The material used is same for all waveguides.Does this is the reason why I am getting the coedge error??in continuation

The overlap is not an issue since Lumerical uses Mesh Orders to create the structure. It is the contact/metal that cuases the issue. DO you have the contacts and proper voltage applied? IN my first resply I mentioned the contact but have not got any information regarding to it.

Sir i have provided voltages(above ito material awgs structure with voltage from -5v to 0 v  and on the substrate(material is Sio2 but is used as contact with 0V)). i am having the ito-Si  AWG  heterojunction placed on Sio2 Substrate.

Please try to simulate it at 0 v, and see if it can run.

what is the ITO material propery? metal?

How many contacts this device has?
