SubscriberHi all,
I have been using 3D magnetostatic for the motor simulation and facing the error warning during analyze the parametric sweep.
"Process '3dnms' terminated abnormally. Â It may have run out of memory or could have been killed by the user."
I already check the RAM and free disk space and it have an enough space for the simulation (RAM uptake about 15GB of 32GB)
How can I solve this problem?. I have attached the screen shot of problem here.
Â
Thank you very much.

Ansys EmployeeOne possible cause is a geometry issue that the quality of mesh is unacceptable to the solver. The newest version of Maxwell, 2024R1 has some improvement on mesh method for Parasolid kernel geometries introduced in 2023R1 version. If you are using the old versions, please try the 2024R1 version. If the error persists, please use the support button at left to submit a support ticket, we will have a dedicated engineer to help you.

SubscriberIsn't mesh in the magnetostatic 3D is the auto adaptive? why does the problem is possible on mesh quality?

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Isn't mesh in the magnetostatic 3D is the auto adaptive?
Yes
why does the problem is possible on mesh quality?
The issue originates from bad geometry. Adaptive mesh cannot fix it.
