This post originally contained file attachments which have been removed in compliance with the updated Ansys Learning Forum Terms & ConditionsHello, a customer reported this error. As you can see in the image the unfolded part (on the right) is ok, but in the drawing sheet is flipped, but the angle dimension still remains +90°. The right beahaviur is have the same results, even a flipped part with the opposite angle -90° is correct, but not a flipped unfolded part and a wrong angle, the employee who bends the part produce a wrong part and there's a waste of material for this error. This isn't the first bug report about this issue. It's very important have a reliable process in order to avoid to produce wrong part with waste of money and time. Please, solve this problem urgently!

Hello DrkAngl
I checked the model file and was able to reproduce some of it. The issue of flipped unfolded part in the drawing sheet is the known behavior but there seems to be no error on my end related to the angle.
I will raise a bug for the issue with the developers and will update you once I get any more information on this.
Regards.

any news about fix?

April 21, 2022 at 1:55 pmventuraSubscriberI have again the same bug report. Wrong unfolded calculation. The unfolded shape should be mirrored. If I bend with this angle and this shape I'll get wrong part. If I use internal face I get the error, if I use external one not.? This seems like the same issue as the one above where it is a drawing issue - UP/DOWN is relative to unfold plane and not related to drawing view's plane.
I will check this case and will get back to you.

DrkAngl
For this problem, it is a drawing issue - UP/DOWN is relative to unfold plane and not related to drawing view's plane.
We are looking into these features in the future releases in Discovery. We do not yet have a timeline for it. We will let you know when we learn more in the coming months. Thank you!
Regards.
