SubscriberHi everyone,
I am working to design RIS now. In the design, I need to compare the difference of the phase parameter S11 for parameter 'x' under two different values (for example: 'S11(x=0)-S11(x=1)' as the optimization goal). So I tried to set up two air boxes and corresponding periodic boundaries, in each box, the modal is same except value of 'x'. But an error message is returned at runtime: The problem setup may not contain more than two floquet port.Â
I wonder if there is limitation about the floquet port. And I want to know how to set optimization goal like: 'S11(x=0)-S11(x=1)'?
Thank you very much!

Forum ModeratorHi,
Thank you for reaching out to the Ansys learning forum.
As per your statement, you can use a parametric analysis setup for variable x using a single model instead of optimization. Using parametric analysis you can also calculate the phase of S-parameters of the model for different variations in x (using the calculation tab).
You do not need to duplicate the model along z-axis.
Best regards,
Praneeth.Â
