      Hello sir

Error is there when solving a analysis related to femur, I observed this error is introduced after converting element order from linear to quadratic.

"A load transfer error was occurred. A load could not be applied to small or defeatured entity. ..."

Again i cannot attached the file it is more than 120 Mb

      thankyou

      Maurya,

I think the quality of your geometry is the reason for this error. In a geometry based scoping, the displacements are added to the nodes corresponding to the selected surfaces. If there are any small surfaces that may have been defeatured during meshing, there may not be any nodes attached to it which can prompt this error. Which CAD tool did you use to generate this geometry? I'm assuming that you started with an STL file, if you're using SpaceClaim try the skin tool, it can be a miracle tool in creating clean surfaces for geometries such as this one. Another option is to use the current file and clean up the surfaces by stitching the smaller surfaces.

I highly recommend cleaning up the geometry so that you wouldn't run into such issues.

P.S: Are you getting this error while going from linear to quadratic or the other way? I would imagine quadratic would work as it can mesh finer details due to additional node.

      Hello sir

yes i started with .stl file obtain after conversion of ct scan into 3D model. After that i used the Spaceclaim for cleaning and healing at that time it shows no faces are open or no overlapping.

After that i converted into solid model in spaceclaim at that time also it does  not show any  error.

      Thankyou

Hi sir I am getting the same error a load transfer error has occurred, a load could not be applied to small or defeatured entity, you may select the offending object and /or geometry via rmb on this warning in powderbed am process how to fix it?n

nTurn off Defeaturing under the Mesh Details windownORnIn CAD, improve the geometry to remove that small face and scope the load to a larger face.n
