There is no ISO standard for binary elements - as they really are a combination of a sag profile and phase information.

As you can see, the order of magnitude of the step height is the wavelength, depending on the shape of the base surface, it would be challenging to clearly see on a standard drawing.
In the macro shared in the above mentionned article, you may generate a "total sag" profile with the desired radial sampling.
