SubscriberHi,
I am running a DPM injection of water into a 3D domain using a plain orifice single phase atomiser. However the DPM parcels are just hovering at the injection point as shown in the attached figure. WHat could be some possible reasons for this?
Thanks

SubscriberNearly 100 now, but the time step has reduced to 1e-08, which is the lower limit of my adaptive time-step criteria. nNovember 12, 2020 at 6:52 amNovember 12, 2020 at 9:51 amAmine Ben Hadj Ali

SubscriberI have used 2020R1 and gotten the same result. nParticle summary: Advancing DPM injections ....nnumber tracked = 105534, escaped = 0, aborted = 0, trapped = 0, evaporated = 0, incomplete = 0, incomplete_parallel = 0, shed = 0nNovember 12, 2020 at 12:05 pmRob
Forum ModeratorThe odd bit there is that you have interior labels set as walls, can you check you've not turned the cell facets into walls somewhere. The DPM tracks make sense for transient particles as they're not going anywhere they've not really done anything. If you turn off transient on the particles what does the plot look like? nNovember 12, 2020 at 12:58 pmAmine Ben Hadj Ali
Ansys Employeepressure field is odd. Check what Rob suggested. The plain orifices require reasnoable total pressure at the injection position to work its algorithm.nViewing 10 reply threads- The topic ‘DPM injection error’ is closed to new replies.
