Hi,Â
I am doing a CFD project on a shell and tube heat exchanger and I have added inflation to the tube surfaces targeting y plus = 30 as i use k epsilon standard + standard wall functions. However , when i use the first cell thickness of 0.3 mm and 5 layers , the inflation layer is not much uniform ( little stair stepping) how can I correct this issue. I have attached a picture .

Look at the free volume (tet) mesh, especially relative to the inflation size and gaps.Â
