February 25, 2021 at 3:55 pmashchSubscriberMy transient simulation is expected to last 5 - 6 days, which corresponds to approximately 600 seconds. nHowever, I don't need the first 200-300 seconds. So do you know any command with which the simulation can be directly started at a later point in the batch mode. nPresently I'm using the dual-time-iterate command to simulate 600 secondsnHow does the update-physical-time works on the batch scheme, in conjunction with the dual-time iterate ?.Thanks,nAshishn

February 26, 2021 at 12:13 pmashchSubscriberThanks Rob for the comments.nI do not know, honestly. And hence I ask. nMaybe can I ask you update-physical-time work ? nIt seemed to me that it could work as an initializing point at 300 sec with some number of iterations and then continue with the evolution.nIn your opinion, how can I approach this?n

February 26, 2021 at 12:45 pmYasserSelimaSubscriberYou can use NITA scheme in the first 200-300 seconds with a slightly large time step ... NITA should be faster and is able to obtain an overall good solution. After 300 seconds, use the Iterative coupled solver with smaller time step to capture the required details of the solution.n

February 26, 2021 at 4:57 pmRobForum ModeratorCan you explain why you don't need the first 300s? NITA can be faster, but be careful using too big a time step. Any error can be additive so you'll get to 300s with potentially questionable results. n
