SubscriberHello,
I am just wondering why the values for x,y,z vary in a profile export directly from Fluent (see photo for example). Which are more accurate?
Thanks,
Alex

Ansys EmployeeFluent reads a profile that you supply and then interpolates to cell face centroids. Once you export, you get this interpolated profile. nNovember 5, 2020 at 6:35 pmsoloviev
SubscriberThank you! So if we were going to use this profile as a boundary to base other data off of, that will be imported back into fluent, which are better to use? nNovember 5, 2020 at 9:11 pmKonstantin
Ansys EmployeeGood question. I'd say use Fluent's x, y and z locations as this will minimize interpolation errors. nNovember 5, 2020 at 9:51 pmsoloviev
SubscriberThanks! Just to clarify those values would be the ones on the right, correct?nNovember 6, 2020 at 4:39 pmKonstantin
