Difference between the Multizone (Using All Tri) and Triangle Method

      Hello Everyone!

      I'm currently fixing the 0 thickness problem in one of my airfoils by using Multizone method instead of the triangle method in the Mesh option. I only changed the rotation surface mesh into the multizone and left the outer surface as the triangle mesh method. So, the question is about the difference between Multizone and Triangle mesh method in my simulation and why is taking more computational cost by adding the multizone method?

      With the Triangle Mesh i used the refinement method to obtain a more precise result from the simulation. But with the multizone i can't use the refinement, therefore, I changed some mesh size from the rotation surface (also change the growth rate from 1.2 to 1.1) and the airfoils (so it could have almost the same nodes and elements as the triangle method). And also, selected the option to not use the capture curvature on my mesh options, i dont know if that would make my computational cost go higher or not.

      I assume you are doing fluids simulation. When you say triangle method I assume you are talking about tetrahedral mesh.

      When you use growth rate of 1.1 then it increases cell count a lot. Please check if you can use 1.2.
