  Can you try renaming your %APPDATA%\Ansys\vXXX directory to vXXX.old, where vXXX is the version you are running? Also, please open a Windows command prompt and run "dxdiag" and send screenshots of each tab from the dxdiag utility that opens.

  Thanks for helping i did not do what you asked. Instead I downloaded it on a different system and it worked on it. must be an issue with my computer.
