Hi
i want to define a magneto-optic material in lumerical that is biased in phi direction in cylinderical coordinate. i have seen the guidelines in lumerical and also i asked in a forum with title "". i used spatial varient refractive index method for defining my space. now i have an imported space with my desire refractive index but i want to define this data as a material. how can i do that?i want to use this material in cylinderical layers
regards,

Please refer to Spatial (n,k) data - Simulation object
This is an import object with the specified material property:
This means this object will have the geometry AND the material at the same time. It is NOT an independent material.

Thank you dear Guilin for your answer.
yes i know that the imported space has the material properties. i want to use this material in some cylinderical layers. should i define each layer and import it to my project seprately or if can i define my material as a space and then use it in each part of my structure as a material?

The importnk its self defines the geometry and material at the same time. Thus for a cylinderical object you can set its refractive index inside the cylinder and outside you can either set to be backgrould material or other material, depending on the device configuration.
If the geometry is different you will need to define each of them.
