Hello,
I started a deep drawing simulation of a steel sheet. A rubber pad presses the steel sheet into a die. I used ELFORM = 16 and I added the CONTROL_ADDAPTIVE keycard to remesh the sheet during the simulation. When I start the simulation, the elements deform very strongly at a certain timestep. How can I fix the problem? The load is defined as a pressure on a segment set. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Try setting the ADPFREQ to a small number first and see if the solution improves. Make sure your material definition is accurate and follow the examples given in the link https://www.dynaexamples.com/introduction/process_simulation
For more on adaptive card, follow the examples from the link https://www.dynaexamples.com/introduction/intro-by-j.-day/adaptive
For full defined example with adaptive deep drawing , follow the link https://www.dynaexamples.com/introduction/examples-manual/control/adaptive-1Â
Happy simulation,Â

Hello, thank you for the answer. I reduced ADPFREQ with a smaller number but unfortunatelly the problem is not solved. As material definition I used the Keyword MAT_024_PIECEWISE_LINEAR_PLASTICITY. There I was able to manually enter the plasticity-curve of tensile samples of the sheet. Have you got an other idea? Furthermore I asked myself if the keyword LOAD_SEGMENT_SET defines a pressure which is always normal to the segments? If this is not the case, how can I establish it?
