data analysis in CFD post. contour to 2d plane and line graph

Hi, I have the following contour in ansys CFD post of the heat flux in two channels.

Is there a way to plot the graph in a 2d plane. Effectively unravelling the tubes into a plane. In addition is it possible to plot a graph of the average heat flux as it goes down the channels, convert the 2d pane into a line graph so that i can compare different geometries?

There's not an "unwrap" option to convert the cylindrical surface into a plane. You can write out the data with position though, and do the data manipulation elsewhere.

Hi Rob, how would I do this? here "write out the data with position" do you mean to export the data?

Yes, export the surface data. I'm not an expert (or even amateur)  in CFD Post but there will be a txt export somewhere - you'll get position & value in some form you can manipulate. If you're working in Fluent you can write out profiles or some of the File>Export>Solution Data are surfaces and human readable.
