Hello 

I am doing cyclic symmerty simulation in static structural 

below is the model

and i defined frictional and bonded contact below is the image of model 

 

 

below image shows the boundary condition 

 

and loading is shown below 

 

 

i am getting the error like mentioned below 

*** ERROR ***                           CP =    8695.516   TIME= 20:49:04
 Solution not converged at time 1.666666667E-02 (load step 1 substep 1).

 

 

 

can anyone  help me to slove this problem

Hello Pavan,

Always insert a Contact Tool under the Connections folder and Generate Initial Contact Status whenever you have Frictional contact.

It may be that the contact is Open and that is the cause of the failure to converge. Please show the table of Initial Contact Status.

I suggest you first convert the Frictional contact to Bonded contact, turn off Large Deflection and try to solve. Does that work?  If so, turn Large Deflection back on and try to solve. Does that work?

Yes I did this

i changed from Frictional contact to Bonded contact, i turned off Large Deflection and this is worked without any error
