Critical Error During Ansys Student Installation

  I had an unsuccessful installation after downloading and extracting the .zip folder for ansys student and once I removed the partial installation and tried a second download its result was a critical error: "uninsta.dat file not found." I have since tried fully deleting the ANSYSinc files from my computer and re-extracting the files from the .zip but unfortunately, I am still faced with the critical error once I run the setup.exe file (yes I did use "run as administrator"). Please let me know if I am missing something key in order to successfully download this app.

  Could you provide the contents of this file? If it shows a size of 0kb, try deleting it and then run your install again.
  %appdata%\Ansys\v242\ProdConfig
  Follow ERROR- “File not found: uninst_data.dat” and “File not found: uninst_data.dat”

  I dont have "%appdata%\Ansys\v242\ProdConfig", there is no file to begin with, which is why im confused as to how to delete it since there is nothing.
  
  I've attached a screenshot of the v242 folder.

  Hi,
  Your installation is incorrect, you should have more folders. For me it's about 41 items.
  Please re-install the application with admin access.
