Ansys EmployeeTo create images of already-run fluent transient cases, the following procedure can be used 1.To use this macro, make sure that only those transient results files (.dat.gz and .cas.gz) for which images are to be generated from are placed in the current working directory. 2.Load one of the data files, generate a plot (e.g. contour, etc.). 3.Load the attached macro in Calculators->Macro Calculators and execute the macro. This macro will read each transient solution, and generate an image of the currently displayed plot in CFD-Post in the same working directory. The images are named using the name of the data file. This will overwrite previous images if any.

SubscriberIf you have many transient data files where taking screenshots might be time-consuming, you can use the "Timestep Selector" and "Animation" options in CFD-Post to create a movie and automatically export the images of each timestep. It would take time depending on how big the files are, but its really convenient and useful once you've successfully set it up. Refer attached pdf for more info about how to do this:

SubscriberAs raul.raghave said, the best way is to use the time selector in animation and you can chose whether to create a video animation, save a sequence of images or both.
Cheers

SubscriberI have a question about the animation in CFD-post: For creating an animation using time-steps, have I to save datas every certain number of time-steps?

SubscriberYes, you'd have to export data after a certain number of timesteps.

SubscriberYes this can be done in Fluent you need to make sure to chose CFD-Post compatible data files.
