SubscriberHello,
I am using Ansys Fluent Meshing to mesh my geometry. I would like to make a complete hex mesh. The problem that I am having right now is that is seems to be impossible to create a square shaped surface mesh, is this correct or am I missing something?
Kind regards,
Lotte

SubscriberDo not care about the surface mesh. You will always see triangles at the surface, but the volume mesh will be exactly what you want.

Forum ModeratorFluent Meshing has hexcore, but won't give a full hex mesh. Ansys (Workbench) Meshing has full hex. I'd stick with Fluent Meshing and use poly or poly-hexcore.

SubscriberWhat is the advantage of poly relative to more 'traditional' triangular surface mesh?

Forum ModeratorIt's generally more accurate.
