SubscriberHello,
Â
I am simulating a transformer. Would anyone clarify that how you excite for core losses (voltage excitaion) and winding losses (current excitaion) ? Do you check core and winding losses by sperately exciting voltage and current? or just voltage or current should be okay? I am asking because I am getting significantly different losses when I have different excitaion method. Thanks

Ansys EmployeeHello, when setting up your simulation, you should ensure that the excitation method aligns with the physical behavior you're trying to model. If you're experiencing significantly different losses with different excitation methods, it may be beneficial to review the physical setup of your model and ensure that the excitation method you're using is representative of the actual transformer operation.
