SubscriberHi all,
I am trying to convert a whole solid body model I have into a volume. So far, I have been unable to generate this using the Volume Extract tool and have only made partial sections of it into a volume. Is there a way to simply convert the entire geometry into a volume? I'll attach an image of the model to this post. Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeHello Spencer,Â
If the solid body itself is the geometry that you want to use for the CFD simulation, then just directly import .scdoc file into the appropriate meshing software and continue the process. Volume extraction is only required when the solid body you have makes up only the boundaries/walls of your geometry and your fluid domain needs to be extracted based on these walls.Â
Thanks,
Kalyan

SubscriberHi Kalyan,
That is indeed the case with this solid, I imported it as you said and it worked! Thank you very much.
