SubscriberDear all,
I am doing a steady-state simulation of a two-phase turbine in Fluent. I am doing a sector analysis with one nozzle and 15 rotors (impulse type). Fluids are nitrogen and water. Water as a liquid and nitrogen as a gas. Nitrogen is treated as ideal gas. Multiphase setting without interphase mass transfer between two phases The flow in the nozzle was also separately simulated, and convergence was nice and accurate. However, we are facing a convergence problem when the nozzle is simulated along with the rotor. The continuity equation does not go below 10-1, even at a lower time step (0.001). I also tried solving without slip. A few snapshots are attached.
Thanks in advance!
Best,

SubscriberHi Rob!
Thanks for your reply.
sorry for late reply.Â
The rotational periodicity was defined for both ends.
Is that what you mean?

Forum ModeratorOK, if it's 3d that's fine if the ends of the zone match up: it looks like there's a bulge at the right end near the blades? It'll also repeat the supply nozzle, maybe that explains any odd flow effects?
