Could somebody point on how to make contacts between a shell body surface and solid beam elements? In the contact tool command, it says that my contacts are inactive and i do not understand why..

I want bonded type of contact between surface body and beam element and aditionally bonded contact between two beam elements.

Hi Alex,

We can directly create the bonded contacts. You may try using the MPC formulation. Have you run the analysis after creating the contacts? Did you get rigid body motion during the simulation?

I did not get this message, but i do get this message,

 

When using Lagrange formulation message disappers but results get very non accurate and non logic. Switching to MPC formulation gives logic results.
